Crazy past couple of Days!

It's been a crazy couple of days for Michael and me! Wednesday night we were having dinner at our friend's home and Michael got a phone call from his mother who was on a bus tour trip with her 2 sisters and sister-in law. They were in Vicksburg, MS when all of a sudden out of nowhere, Michael's youngest aunt got what was described by her as the "worst headache of my life". Being in healthcare, when someone says that to you, you better take them seriously. They rushed her to a hospital in Vicksburg where a CT scan showed what appeared to be a small amount of blood on her brain. So Michael's mom and his Aunt Delane were transferred to the University of Mississippi Hospital in Jackson, MS to have more invasive testing done. His other 2 aunts stayed on the bus tour and finished the trip. His aunt's daughter and husband decided to fly to Nashville the next morning and we picked them up and drove to Jackson to be with them. Fortunately, all of the testing they did showed nothing wrong with her brain and the neurosurgeon thought that the initial scan they did in Vicksburg was a false positive. They discharged her yesterday and we all piled in my SUV and headed back to Nashville. They are all here now. His aunt still is having headaches so we don't want her flying home to Kansas City until she feels much better.

In the meantime, we are also working on house plans for a new home we hope to start building in June. We have been working with a wonderful architect who has been very patient with me. I think we have finally gotten the "look" we want and now just have to decide on a few major things, such as style of roof and whether or not we want to include a basement. One thing is for sure, we are going to have to shave off some of the square footage he has included, which probably won't be hard to do. I've posted pictures of our land and the houseplans we have so far. I know we will make some changes here and there but you will get the general idea of what it looks like.
